SSR 70cc Pitbike

I wasn't looking for or "needing" a pitbike but saw one on CL for dirt cheap. It's a few years old, he said it just needed a new petcock, but I had no clue if it would run or not, tires were flat but he said the tubes weren't flat. The price was cheap enough, so I took a gamble. Got it home, aired up the tires and hooked it up to some Vitamin Water, and after some priming and kicking she fired right up.
I took her around the block and I was shocked how fast it is for a 70cc 4 stroke. I can't believe how good it runs with 3 years of rough kids use with minimal to no maintenance.
It's a semi auto and I think it's a 4 speed but it's hard to tell.

I haven't looked yet, but does anyone know of a good place to order stock parts for it? By looking at it I'm thinking it use to have a chain roller on the bottom.

Getting this little bugger, makes me think about getting myself a 125 or something like for myself. Then me and my son could go do some fun dirt squirtin' on the little things.

Son of Weldangrind had a 70cc semi-auto as his first dirt bike, and it pulled me around really well.

The plastic looks crf50. I tossed some when I moved.

Otherwise pitbikes are pretty easy to find parts for.

Is the rear chain guide broken? It does look like there was a chain roller at the front of the swingarm, like you say. Should be easy to fab something. The plastics look really good. Is your son at a good age for the bike?

Ever since SSR announced their new full-size XF200 and XF250, I have been watching videos about them (SSR brand--predominantly pitbikes, as the XF's have been put on indefinite hold) on youtube. From what I gather, they are stout machines, well worth the money. They sell on CL in Phoenix and L.A. for $250 and lower, used (with some priced above MSRP, too). [/i]

Pictured with the e-bike. This past weekend my son rode the 70 for his 1st time and I rode the e-bike. We had a blast!!
I might have to look for a 125 so we can go hit the trails on the widdle bikes. :lol:

Since we've been riding the bikes more the past couple weeks the batteries in the e-bike are putting the power out better. We rode for a little last night and my son was smokin me on the e-bike. I was in 3rd gear and could barely keep up. His lighter weight was just flyin over the bumps. Impressive!

Hop on EBAY. They literally have everything there is for pitbikes. search "CRF 50" and Pitbike... and you'll see tons of parts for performance... customizing... and stock replacements.
