Hello every one again!
First I just want to thank this site and everyone who participates in helping me with the carb mod to make the bike idle better...much much more pleased with it since the mod.
I have another question I could use some experienced advice for...I have never owned a street legal bike before so I am not sure how its supposed to work but is the bright light on the headlight just for safety during the day or what? My dim light works pretty good at night as far as being lined up in front of me but the bright light literally shines into the sky up into trees in front of me when its on. Theres a couple of roads I ride on at night now and then and the tree's over hang the street and because of it its darker so i have tried to flip the headlight to bright I can see great if I want to search for owls then I am all set but as far as see'n where I am going it aint happen'n!

I read in the manual I think to use the bright during the day for safety and the dim at night so I thought it may be by design but it seems a waste to me...

If you lower the bright, is the dim worthless for anything except adjusting front spoke tension in low light? :lol: All you have to do is lower the light.

There is an adjustment screw located below the lense. Need a philips screwdriver.

your low beam should be for in the ground in front of you, your high beam should light up the area well down the road... too bad our lights are pretty pathetic, i am working on an hid setup tho, so hopefully that works out well.

Not sure your set up, all I have to do on the Diamo is loosen the mount bolts and force the headlight down, retighten.

Yeah, the light is a little better than a kerosene lamp I reckon. :lol: Makes me appreciate the twin halogens on the SV. But, this isn't the worst headlight I've ever owned. You should see the pathetic light on a 1967 CT90 Honda, 6 volt. :lol: A problem I'd worry about with possiblly putting a halogen on it is the current drain and whether the stator could keep up with it. Mine's adequate, frankly, for my riding. If I'm going very far at night, I can take my GoldWing or my SV650.

I am going to see if a can modify the stock lense with an H4 socket from a car. Just need to confirm that I can get a 35 or 45w H4 bulb. The current H3 light works, but only has one setting and I am concerned that the 55w bulb will burn out the stator.
