Here is an electric superbike. In some ways of higher performance than a gasoline powered superbike.
218 MPH on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Out accelerates a BMW1000RR by a wide margin.
The downsides, other than the obviousl deal breaker of the price?
38 mile range (one lap of the IOM TT), and an 8 hour charge time. 500 pounds.
