throttle problems

i have a 98 bmx 200 gy. ive road it for a few weeks and it started acting up. i put a new spark plug in it and when id get to half throttle it would start cutting out and loose power. what could be my problem?

Im sure you've checked this, but just in case, make sure you're not giving it any choke, I've accidently hit my choke mid ride, and it seem'd like it was out of gas/losing power/slipping, check it.

Also make sure your carb puke tube isnt melted, or blocked, Also had that happen to me mid ride.

Most likely a carb problem or the CDI box is going out. The choke recomendation should be checked also.

I think you carb has some junk in it and you are not getting enough fuel.

CDI boxes are also known to give similar symptoms.
