Hi spud hope all is well. I was wondering since all of my riding will be highway what type of engine oil should I use and how often should it be changed. I will most likely put lots of miles on the engine. Also just to note, I'm at sea level in the Bahamas
Thanks

I use rotella synthetic in all my vehicles and bikes, For highway riding I would change it every 250 miles

You will get a lot of different replies regarding engine oil. ;) I use 15W/40, commercial diesel oil. I buy whatever oil is on sale at the local auto parts store. I am currently using Mobil Delvac, 15W/40 motor oil in all my motorcycles. Mobil is currently offering a $5 rebate per gallon of Mobil Delvac. :)

I change my motor oil every time the odometer turns another 1,000 miles. This schedule is consistent with the manufacturer's recommendations, and is easy to remember. Using this method, I never forget when the next oil change is due. ;)
