So i found a q link 200cc dual sport with the street tire set-up,says in the ad it had a hot cam installed this past spring along with a diff silencer and a rejet.it has 6000 miles on it.Asking price is $1200 (it looks to be in good shape in photo). MY questions are these,,,, What kind of diff will the cam make?how much of a copy of the dr200 are they? will the 21'' an 18 '' wheels fit off a dr so i could have a set for the trails an are sprockets the same both front an rear as a dr200,,,,,thanks ahead for your help,,,,I've been kickin myself for selling the zong an this might just be the ticket.I also would like to get him down to at least $1000,,,thoughts?

The Q experts will likely chime in, but I recall one forum member who discovered that the engine is a poked 'n stroked version of the 125 Suzuki motor. He installed a hot cam and commenced to race it in Supermoto, IIRC.

That sounds like a great price.

Sounds like a Xf200 with 17" wheels and hopfully a "Hotcams" brand stage1 camshaft and probably some ProCircuit slip on silencer, also the speedo is going to be in Khm not Mph so it's more like 3700 mile on the bike. The Qlink is based on the Suzuki Dr's and uses many of their parts, but changing wheels and a 428 drive to 520 is not an easy weekend task. Put some dualsport or 17" knobbies and call it a day or find someone parting an Xp200 for a 18/21 wheel set. The engine on the Q is a very good one IMHO and requires very little maintanance aside from regular oil changes and a look at the valves. With all of this a $1000 cash in hand can help change a sellers mind very easy and you would be buying a good bike at a fair price. :D

t5hanks trevort,,,,I would likely keep the 428 chain,,just want a set of 18''an 21'' wheels an wondered what else would fit,,,yes you are correct about the cam it did say ''hot cams'' in the ad an a pro-tec silencer,,would valve adjustment stay the same after installing the cam,..thanks for the tip on the mileage ,that helps. Also would a rear rack off a dr fit ,,,i definely need to mount my jc whitney trunk!

Hey Fish, I have a '92 KLR250 with a 21" front rim, and I'm looking for a SM replacement. Wanna trade front rims?

Good replies, not much to add.

Price looks OK in the current market.

I'd be tempted.

Any idea on what the current gearing is on the bike, like 15/49, 15/44 or 16/44? Alos ask what the current carburetor jetting is with the cam and exhaust a base should be 127.5 main 35 pilot and needle on the 4th clip down, as I have the same modifiactions on my bike with a K&N I'm running 132.5 main 37.5 pilot and N4C. My bike will cruise at 75mph with no probelm but it's far from being a interstate friendly bike, so don't even try it. The Q does have soft suspension and will need some attention if you plan on doing any serious off-roading

Front sprockets are Drz125l and rear are Ts125ern both Suzuki bikes, check Tabao for a direct bolt on rear rack under Qingqi 200 and ask Spud who his agent was that he used to get parts from. All of the stock parts are available directly from Qlink's website and as far as Cdi's I have never had an issue with mine.

Awesome bikes, you can't go wrong :). Mine purrs like a kitten and it's a crime I haven't gotten more miles on it... A word of advice though, if it has the stock Kingstone tires on it be very very careful on wet roads!

(That's if you buy it of course)

Check to see if a Suzuki front wheel will fit the QLink. ;) You can find used, Suzuki wheels and hubs for sale on eBay. If the Suzuki hub fits the QLink, you can also buy Suzuki spokes and lace a 21-inch rim to the Suzuki hub. ;)

Can anybody point me in the direction of a 17" SM Q front rim? I'm sure I can pick one up for far less than the used Japanese rims on eBay.

like for instance if this fits the qlink ,,it would pretty much help my decision. http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-Suzuki-DR200-DR-200-DR200SE-Front-Rim-Wheel-Dirt-Tire-/360496663704?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53ef468c98&vxp=mtr

That Suzuki front wheel is an excellent deal. :) If the QLink owners don't respond to this thread, I suggest you send one a personal message. ;) You can also research the QLink/Qingqi information at MyChinaMoto.com.

All I can say is that looks identical to a Q wheel, and the speedo cables are interchangeable. Other than that I can't be sure.

The Suzuki uses different forks, conventional vs. the Q's USD.

May matter. I don't know.
