I haven't tried one like that, but I had a Keihin pumper on an XL250S; it was terrific. I bet this carb will make a bike really easy to start. If you buy one, please let us know how it works for you.

Interesting.

Looking at the pics it's a pumper that's for sure.

I agree with Weld, might be fun to try!

i have switched cv type carbs to flatside pumpers and the difference is night and day. not to sure how this one would work being a round slide and there is already a mikuni vm type carb on the bike.

What is the advantage of flat side carbs?

My YZ uses a flat slide pumper.

You get smoother flow from a flat slide and when tuned right you should get better response, but most of all better topend from the smoother flow and mix of air/fuel.

Thanks. Good to know. I remember 'back in the day' a rack of flatsides was the cats arse for GSXR's and the like. Then they were desirable for racing level dirt bikes. I figure there had to be some advantage...

there are pumpers And there are pumpers 8O ....
Some of the cheap pumper carbs do just that..pump extra fuel
when the throtle is snaped opened... riching up the mixture...
a real pumper also opens up a 2nd air system to keep
the mixture correct...

What one is this?
