I think all the Chinese manuf. recommend 10w-40 (Many use Rotella-T), and 1 liter capacity for the 200cc's.

1 Liter 10W/40. Any brand will do as long as its not 'Energy COnserving'. Those are not good for wet clutches.

How many quarts in that? 1 quart or 1.5 quarts I don't know liters

One liter is equal to 1.06 quarts, or 1 quart and 2 ounces. :)

First oil change on it, 92 miles down!

If you have a sight glass, just use that; don't worry too much about the actual quantity. Make sure that the bike is plumb and level when checking the sight glass.

Is it normal to have to lean the bike alittle towards the glass side to see it fill up?

With my Zongshen/Yamaha engine, I can't see the oil level until the bike is nearly vertical. You can't get an accurate oil measurement unless the bike is vertical. ;)

When mine is perfectly vertical it shows nothing, lean it a tad bit and it fills up n stops at h mark

If you're not seeing oil at the full mark with the bike vertical, the oil level is too low.

A little more. The extra 1/10th may put it in the sightglass.

Does the 07 lifan gy 200 hqve an oil filter or just a filter screen and if it does where is it. Thanks

It's a screen, and it's all you need. You'll find it near the shifter; it's a large nut, but I can't remember what socket size it takes. Maybe 15/16", but you'll need to check.

I don't have the same bike, but mine is also a 200. One quart didn't put the oil in the sight glass in mine either. I had to go approx. 5 more oz before I could see it. You can usually find good deals on the 1 gallon variants of oils with the additional benefit of having some extra oil laying around for when you need it ;)

The CG type engine like those used on the Lifan 200 also have a centrifugal oil filter under the clutch cover. It's not necessary to clean it during every oil change but a good idea to do occasionally.

I agree, although it's less of an issue on a CG, vs. OHC engines. If the cam chain is not periodically adjusted on an OHC, the cam chain can slap the surrounding aluminum, and that ends up in the centrifugal filter. The CG has no cam chain, so there is nothing to rub on aluminum. You'll occasionally get some dirt and debris, but it's not a large amount.

Oil plug should be 24mm. I read that somewhere and I wrote it down.
