Relocate battery

Well, I finally broke my battery box today. I knew it was coming, just wasn't sure when, but one last little jump on a trail ant I landed with a tell-tale noise of something rubbing the rear tire. So a buddy had some bungees and I got it back home, now it's time to relocate it, I think. Anyone moved theirs under the seat yet? It's a 2006 LF200gy-2.

Mine fit pretty well where the air box went. After the cone filter mod my bike was see through at mid point. I just used metal brackets because I don't have an A/O torch. No problems so far and I really don't expect any. My pics are page 8 of the gallery if you want to do it re-adaptive engineering style. If you want to do it correctly, you may be better off following Red's advice.

Sure, c'mon up to Vermont. Penn to northern VT can't be more then what, 6 hours?? :D . Seriously though, you only need a way to cut up some light angle iron and a welder. I got the lightweight 1 in. angle iron at Aubachon Hardware along with the couple nuts. Total price of the mod was like 9 bucks.
