uni filter extension hose

I purchased the two part foam uni filter and oil.

I don't think I should mount it directly to the carb, due to moisture and the elements (is this correct?).

I believe I should mount it under the seat where the original filter is, but it is a completely different style, so I need to find a hose to go from the filter to my 30mm mikuni.

I'm unable to find a premade part. any thoughts on what I can use without making the intake smaller due to couplers? Or even if you have specific couplers and hose combo to suggest, I'd appreciate it.

Look to the plumbing world for inspiration. Try an MJ or Ferco coupler, along with some ABS pipe. The couplers I'm talking about are like a short length of rad hose with hose clamps at each end. They're available in several different sizes, and they can also be used to step up or down in size.

The ABS pipe could be straight, 45, 22-1/2 or 90. Plenty of choices.
