Looks like a zong, but the engine is a hondoid.

The engine is made by Zongshen... I think. Zong engines typically have the chrome, four bolt oval on the left side. The rest looks like a parts bin bike. Not to say that it's bad, though. I can see a couple of different flavors.

I got myself wondering; is there such a thing as trademarked Chinese motors?

There could be, but I bet it's unenforceable.

Just wondering if there is an agreement between Chinese engine manufacturers as to identifiable pieces. I know that Loncin engines have unique side covers also.

Another observation; Chinese motors that are Suzuki based have a license from Suzuki to do so. I've never seen one that was a 'Suzukioid'.

Qianjiang is the 1st (~1x yrs ago) firm making un-licensed "Suzukioid" http://www.qjmotor.com/qjmotor/vehicleAction.do?method=view&id=4028882f267785ab012677d1c92a0005 .

That's the Yingang version of a dual sport bike with a 15-inch rear wheel, and an 18-inch front wheel. ;) Several members of this forum own that motorcycle.

I know at least one of the owners really liked the bike for a quite a while. I can't remember if he changed his mind. ;)
