View Full Version : What Honda model uses the same clutch as a 2006 DB-07?

I tried to search -- but the search is acting wonky again. I checked the parts thread, and there isn't any resolution as to exactly which Honda model the clutch parts match up to.

The thread talks about the springs -- and I will be getting some of those for the slippy clutch.

However, I'd like to have a new set of discs and steels ready, too.

I found this video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5uLYy0xloQ

This guy is taking apart an 87 XR200R. At the 26:40 mark, you can see the clutch parts. They look absolutely identical (as far as I can tell from the video) to the parts in my '06 DB-07.

Has anyone been able to nail down exactly what the right clutch parts are?

I called Bruce at EJCycles, and he was busy with a customer -- he will call back. However, I am used to working via email, and phone tag is a real issue with me. So I'm trying to cast my net as widely as possible to figure out what I need in terms of clutch parts.

Thanks!

To respond to your question, I used clutch plates from a Gio (which is basically like your motor) in an XR200R motor. It had more clutch plates, but the size was identical.
