Spud, you also mentioned in another thread about putting the new tire inside a hot car to make it easier to get on the rim.

I thought that was a great tip.

Yes, working with a warm tire greatly facilitates tire changing. :) Removing a cold tire is easier than installing a cold tire. Therefore, it's most important to warm up the new tire before you install it.

If it's a sunny day, put the new tire inside your car to warm up in the "greenhouse." If it isn't sunny, you can put the new tire in the car and turn up the heater. ;) You can also put the new tire inside your home, or a heated garage. Of course, it's best to change the tire on a warm day, if possible. ;)
