I love my KMC 428UO drive chain. :)

The KMC drive chain has very little friction from the O-rings. I really enjoy not needing to constantly adjust the drive chain. ;)

In the springtime and fall, I encounter a lot of mud while riding off road. The drive chain takes a lot of punishment riding in these conditions.

About a week ago my Zong's swingarm collected so much mud it locked up my rear wheel! I had to stop three times to clean the goop out of the swingarm before I could continue my ride. :wtf:

I enjoy the reduced maintenance required for the O-ring drive chains while riding in these harsh conditions. :)

Grow potatos in that fine Idaho swingarm soil!

The U.S. Forest Service just called me. They want their trail back. ;)

Nowadays, you can't really joke about anything to do with the federal government, they probably really do want their trail back!

I am glad to read that this chain has given you good service. It is reasonably priced, too! The less work to do with the bike, the more time to ride.

Great pics, Spud. What is your process for cleaning your bike? I know that you don't use a pressure washer, but I also know that a garden hose alone won't do the job where I live.

Is $35.94 the best price you've seen for an o-ring chain?

I use a garden hose to clean my bikes, Weld. I guess I am fortunate to have enough water pressure to do the job.

This is the best price I have found for a quality, O-ring drive chain with good tensile strength.

Allright, Spud...give us the lowdown on this chain. I was just stranded the other day due to...a broken chain. Got a replacement and changed the front sprocket to a 15 tooth while I had the side cover off (the 40 rear/15 front combo is by far the best, yet-probably should have kept the 17 t front and found a 48 rear from the get go).

Are these available in other sizes? Or can they be cut as easy as a 'common' chain? Seems worth the $42 if it lasts longer and doesn't require playing with the rear wheel every few weeks.

The KMC 428UO is a great drive chain, and the current price is only $35.94 at OEMCycle. :) This chain is sold with 132 links, but it is easily broken to a shorter length. ;)
