Called Zongshen America today and they said that the CDI are $56 + shipping. The real problem is that they don't have any! I was told to call back Monday to see if MAYBE they get more. So.. where else can I get one other than Ebay for $85 + shipping? I have gone to Taobao.com but could not find a AC CDI for the Zongshen Sierra. Could someone please point me the correct direction?

That's pretty close to about US $12.00, plus shipping. Just set up an account with www.tbtrends.com (http://www.tbtrends.com) , and they'll help you.

www.tbtrends.com made it easy to order parts. I'm getting two CDIs for the price of one from Zongshen. Thanks for the help Weldangrind!

You're welcome. I learned about it from Spud, who learned about it from Pliskin. It's a terrific way to get small parts.

I think all of us initially learned of Taobao.com from HumanBeing. Pliskin led the way using the Taobao agent, TBTrends.

Good for you!

I think my current CDI unit is starting to fail. :ohno: I'm glad I ordered several spare CDI units when I placed my order with TBTrends. :)

You're welcome. Be careful, because TaoBao is extremely addictive.

So I was looking @ ordering up some cdi boxes & saw a listing for rear tire size 130/90 15 and pic has knobbies. Any one think of ordering 1? Think I might just dont understand how to know how much shipping will be & I currently dont have pay pal.

Yes, you certainly can order the 15-inch, knobby tires. :) However, the shipping from China will probably cost twice as much as the tire, itself. :wtf:

With domestic shipping, the tire will cost $240 Yuan to be delivered to the Taobao agent, which is approximately $39 USD. Working from my memory, I think the international shipping will cost about $12 for the first 500 grams, and about $5 for each additional 500 grams. That tire probably weighs about 15 pounds, or 7 kilos. Therefore, I estimate shipping to the U.S.A. would probably cost another $77. :wtf:

However, I encourage you to work with a TBTrends agent to arrive at the actual, delivered cost for the tire. ;)
