Hi guys, :hi:

Im thinking about swapping my standard 125cc Honda CG clone engine from my Lexmoto/Zongshen Arizona for something like a 200/250.

Are there any engines out there that will slot right in without any major mods/swearing?

What about the CG250 lump? Will that pop straight in?:hmm:

Thanks in advance chaps.

I sort of doubt it. Even if it was possible I think if would be a lot less time and effort to just get a 250cc or so bike.

I would think if your 125 is a vertical engine, and not a hroizontal like the 110 derived engines a 200 would bolt right up...

I believe that a CG200 or CG230 (there really is not 250) would fall into place. The reason is that both of those motors are derived from the CG125, and I would guess that they're all identical externally.

If you have specific CG200 measurements that you need, just let me know.

Yeah i meant 230
Do you have a link/full spec sheet for the CG200?

Cheers..

yeah i agree with weldangrind. but the space for the bigger carbie needs to be measured between the head and the monoshock (?), tank and seat. i don t know what the zong 125 frame is like.

Its a twin shock bud. Should be plenty of room.

dual shockies no worries. the carbie if you think 26mm mikuni, is higher too, where does your throttle cable run?

The bike in the pic has a counter-balanced motor, and most CG200 / 230 engines do not. Your 125 motor might actually be longer than a 200 / 230, and it might take some minor custom mount work on the front.

Whats the difference between a counter-balanced engine and a non counterbalanced?

Sorry im pretty new to the world of bikes.

A counter-balanced engine has a tiny shaft at the front of the engine that resembles a crankshaft, and it provides (somewhat) opposing forces to the crankshaft. It's the finned portion at the front of your engine.
