It's only Wednesday, right?

I'm working in N. Maine again this week. For the entire week. One old guy doing a job that would be tough on two young guys.:ohno: I'm beat.

Get a call yesterday, need to be in Miami next Monday. Again for the entire week.:wtf: On a prototype machine that wasn't supposed to be sold in the first place.

Get a call today, need to be in beautiful Jersey City for the following week.>: To train end users who said they didn't need training when the machine was delivered. Six years ago.

Get another call this evening. Customer chews me out for not calling him like my boss said I would. News to me.

Call Old Weird Harold(my boss)about the above,
Me-"Umm, forget to tell me something?"
OWH-"No."
Me-"Tom?"
OWH-"Sent you an email."
Me-"Umm, nope."
OWH-"Uh-huh."
Me-"Got your 7am, 9am, noon, 4pm and 6pm emails. Nothing about Tom in any of them."
OWH-"Bull"
Me-"Check your sent."
OWH-"Oops, forgot to forward it."
Me-"Gee, thanks. Tom wasn't real pleased when I told him I don't read minds on Wednesdays."
OWH-"You didn't?"
Me-"Yup."
OWH-"Sh$#, I'd better call him."
Me-"Smart move.":D

Can hardly wait til July 5th. Me and the Maggot riding up to Trego, WI for a three day camp out at my sisters' place.:yay:

It's only Wednesday, right?:hmm:

I feel much better about my job now.

I won't go into detail about my boss here, except to say

He's not my real boss anyway. In order, the good Lord, Mrs. Weldangrind and my customers. They're the ones I strive to please.

That's why there is a cure for moments like this (not thanks to the lovely people from the pharmaceutical industry :)):

Insurance does not cover that medicine.

If I know you....

You'd have a hard time 'resting' if you were retired.

I have accepted that fact for myself and expect I will work as ling as I am able, although now nearly as many hours as I do now.

Oh, I won't be sitting on my laurels, Doc. The owner of the local bicycle shop asks me when I'm going to retire every time I walk in. He wants someone who can work on gear hubs.

very funny! but is "Job Suck" a new condition in North America? do people use that expression? "Jobs suck" or "Job sucks", even "Job sook" we are familiar with down under.

Yes. Very few jobs don't suck at some point. Stupid working for a living keeps interfering with motorcycle time.

It's hard on pilots too, but it puts gas in the tank;-)

I am blessed with my job in every way, and grateful for it.

I realize that's not the norm.

Lol! It's true! I actually had a facebook status similar to that not too long ago... I think it was "Work... Sure get's in the way of riding! ;)"

I'm not fond of my job, but it pays the bills and keeps me from living under a bridge... :D
