A few years back one of my bucket-list items was to do the Baja 500 on a beemer Dakar F650gs. Seven grandkids later, it's still on my bucket list.

That's not a bad price for a new chinabike. :) However, I don't think the cast wheels would hold up very well for off road riding. ;)
If you can convince your wife, you have the opportunity to add another Chinese motorcycle to your stable!

Spud, I'd spend the money on a well equipped beemer if I had the chance to do the Baja 500. Might try it on a Zong, but the beemer is a pretty well proven machine, but also expensive with the Rotax engine. One of my favorite bikes. I almost bought a well kept used one when I retired for $5300, but got cold feet.

That's an amazing price, almost as good as the goold old days. I wonder about shipping, and ease of getting tabs and a plate.
Those wheels are just plain wrong for that style.
I bet there was a warehouse full of them in Beijing...

The advertisement is for a brick and mortar shop in Atlanta, Georgia. Therefore, I hope they aren't going to add any bogus freight, dealer prep charges, et cetera. :ohno:
Besides the mag wheels, I don't think you could find knobby tires for that bike. ;)
