I am new to my Lifan and found myself on this website while trying to research the bike. I am really enjoying the great conversations and help found here. I have been poking around the website the last couple of days reading as much as I can but I have a couple of questions.

1. Can anyone tell me the correct name for my bike. Is it a 2007 Lifan 200cc or LF200GY5 or LF200 GY 5 or any other educated guesses or anybody know where to find my answer. My VIN NUMBER starts with LF3YCM5037XXXXXXXif it helps.

2. Anybody know what my bike is a clone of? I was told a Honda but dont know the model. I have heard of people ordering parts for the "real" motorcycle and I was thinking of trying it but dont know where to start. The only things I am in need of are a SPEEDO CABLE and BRAKES but I would love a rear rack and muffler shield.

Thanks in advance!!!

The motor is a clone of an (enlarged) Honda CY125 pushrod engine.

The frame is a clone of the Honda XR200.

The rest of the patrs are semi-random but mostly interchangeable between the Honda(s) and other CB's.

There are some OHC 200 cc CB motors, and they are clones of the XR200's, but with 5 speed (rather than 6 speed) transmissions.

As far as parts try Motopartsmax.com (or something like that) or Hooper Imports, the latter being highly recommended.

Another source is eBay. Generally matching up the picture +/- measurments with what you need will work.

As far as the name goes, who knows? Would a rose by any other name not smell as sweet?

Was Buford, GA named after Kato's cat, also from Georgia?

Do you need brake pads, or entire brake assemblies?
