I know there has been different posts on here about how many miles everybody is up to on the bikes but I have not found a recent one. I am always curious how these bikes are holding up and who has the highest miles on theres now. I got my LF200GY-5 about 3 weeks ago now and have approx. 80 miles on mine now. :?:

I just did my 9,000 mile oil change this past weekend, since I'm back to doing it every 1k miles now. All miles since 10/06

WOW, that is a lot of riding. You are very lucky to have such a long riding season living in South Carolina. Living in Maine our season is kind of short up here and I should ride more than I do.

Yes this past winter was very mild. Only a few times where I needed to drive my car. I will usually ride unless it's raining when I leave for work.

Goldshadow, I think you and I got ours about the same time from Brian. Do you like your bike so far?

Love it! It is my daily driver and I took it up to my In-laws ranch last weekend for some off road driving. I have several pics and will post them later. Everything from start to finish has been great so far. I really don't have any complaints about the stock tires either. I have had many other riders admire it and they were astounded I got it for under $1500.

Fatboy, ounds like your getting some good use of your bike :) When you weren't doing oil changes at 1K how often were you? (I sort of do mine randomly, I try to about every 500)

Well, I guess around 6,000 I decided to try every 2k. BUT then I was influenced by all the guys talking about "better safe than sorry" " cheap insurance" "only 1qt of oil" "So easy only takes a minute" "Why take chances" "YOUR BIKES GONNA BLOW UP"......you know that kinda stuff  , so I changed it at 7500miles and then again at 9000 miles and will again at 10k. Prior to that it was every 1k miles.

766 miles. No engine problems, minor details so far.

I am hoping to get 10,000 miles out of this bike. Then hopefully I will be allowed an upgrade.

10k shouldn't be a big deal for the engine. The rest of the bike will depend on what type of riding you do. I'm hoping to go at least 36k with mine. That works out to about a dollar a day at the rate that I'm racking up miles. :D

99% street and 1% light trail use. I really think it with outlast my expectations. I should put about 10K a year on it.

If you think of these as "big fast 200cc mopeds" instead of "motocross bikes that can go on the street" they should last for a while. While I will say mine still handles the trails ok with the street tires, you can forget about mud and jumping. But I never really cared about that much anyway. I like the upright riding position, the handling[especially with the street tires], and the high line of sight over most traffic. Plus it gets great gas mileage.

I like riding it over my Yamaha Radian that I had. It handles better.

Ha it took me 11 days to put on 2000km, and I'm not riding much because of up-grades. 2400Km. If I get 2 seasons out of this bike, I'll be buying another china bike next time. I agree with everything fatboy250 said about his bike. Then again I agree with him alot. :D

Need to revive this thread.

I will have 3700 (6000km) miles by the time I get home. It I ride everyday to work I will get to 10K in the first year.

Things that have broken so far. Gas tank started leaking, bulbs, muffler cracked, rear brake, turn signal switch, wore out rear tire.

Not too bad.

Less than 1000 miles and 2 engines...

I have about 400 miles of pure errands on the bike. The only mod is an old Elgin Dairy milk crate strapped to the rack, and I use it to haul... You guessed it... MILK (it should be noted that this Mod also fit my 81 honda ct110 trail. RIP). 100 mpg avg according to the stock tripometer(not sure of the accuracy) awsome!

Remember that alot of these are reading km not miles.

I put on a few more today, but it is getting into the 30s now and I need to find some warmer attire.

I have 475 miles on my bike that I just put away for the winter. We have had some snow already, so I decided to get it ready and park it. Some loose parts, bad tire tubes, and some tweaking because I couldn't turn to reserve on the gas tank because the handle would hit the body panel. I have dumped it twice and I got hurt worse than it did. The first time I dropped into a rut, on a curve, on a trail in the state forest. The second time, I was riding on land that I own. A tree had fallen and I tried to pop over it, but did not see the branch on the other side. I landed the front tire in the cradle of the trunk and the branch and came to a very abrupt stop. The bike just had some scrapes and a very slight crack on a body panel. I wish I could say the same for myself. I am looking forward to really putting on some real road miles next season. One of my daughters and I bought two Kawasaki KZ400's which we are planning to rebuild this winter along with going through the Roketa.

Yes, I had to do the same thing. Also, make sure your engine mounting bolts are tight/loc-tite. I lost the lower one within a few hundred miles.

I lost the lower one before the 1000 mile mark too. Replaced it with a grade 8 and no problems since.

I still have the stock tube in the front and I replaced the rear when I did the tire at 3400 miles.

Yeah, I couldn't understand how such a big bolt could work it's way out. But I guess it did. We did the same with the replacement bolt. I made sure all the bolts were loc-tited after that.
