Hello everyone, I recently bought my first bike, a Lifan 200gy-5.

I got it for a really good price, it had 5000 miles only! Anw there are some thing that I would like to replace since the first owner didn't take care of it, just stored it in the garage and let it rust, the bike is kinda a mess... The exhaust needs to be replaced ASAP, I tried to contact www.hooperimports.com but their parts are just out of stock, most of them. And the owner isn't interested in getting new ones... I did read some threads before posting this one and saw that SpudRider already gave out some tips here and there, I tried your taobao SpudRider but I couldn't find anything... I also noticed that you mentioned something about you being an employee in that website. So if it's true, may I please be guided on how to buy parts from there? Or can anyone else help me out in here?

Thanks for you time guys!

Elie.

Some people have retrofitted FMF universal mufflers with good effect, but IIRC it was a little involved.

I wonder (Weld would know I bet) if a used muffler for an XR200 would fit, I think it would.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you scanned ebay?

Hey FastDoc, thanks for replying. Yes I did search on ebay, but, I searched for the exhaust system. I didn't really know what mufflers are until I read your reply. Anw I made a couple of researches and found out that CZR mufflers fit my bike. There's a video on youtube that shows a lifan bike with a CZR muffler installed. Now my question is the following; Are all CZR mufflers the same size? If not which one should I get and is it's installation hard or tricky? I cleaned the carb on my own, changed the oil on my own, also changed the clutch, I'm not a total professional and also not a total newbie... Reply please, whenever you're free.

Again, a million thanks!

Welcome!

I'm not familiar with CZR. I would suspect that an XR200 exhaust system would be close, but it might take some modification to make it fit your frame. This one looks good: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-02-Honda-XR200-XR-200-Exhaust-Pipe-Muffler-Spark-Arrester-Header-/231083933915?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35cdad00db&vxp=mtr

This is the bike with the CZR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyhwYT4AcU0

What do you think it's best, the Honda one or the CZR?

Weldangrind thanks for the reply! I never knew that I can get Honda parts for my bike :P

I bet either would work but either may require a little tinkering.

The XR exhaust would likley be much quieter if that's what you want. It would also be heavier, but would last forever. Also, it would require no re-packing or upkeep.

I have the stock head pipe and muffler but will be leaving to a different state in 3 days for a long while so if you want them contact me, you can have them for the cost of shipping, the head pipe is missing its heat shield.

The CZR muffler looks good. Is there any reference to it being USFS approved?
