I am having a issue starting my bike. First off I can Kickstart the bike! Also the bike is hooked up to a battery tender every night and the battery is only less than 2 months old.

When I turn the key early in the morning the neutral light does not come on ( I cannot use the electric start), this also happens when I get home from work (I ride my bike to work everyday). What I noticed this morning is the neutral light doesn’t come on but I did try to kick start it the light came on then I was able to start it with the starter.

Any Ideas what it could be if it is NOT the battery? :hmm:

Side note: The headlight does run, it does stay running once its started
blinkers horn and lights all work when the bike is running.

The bike = 2006 Lifan 150 Enduro

I question the battery. What is the standing voltage of the battery after it has been on a charger for a few hours? is it stable, or does the voltage continually drop? What is the voltage after you start the bike?

I think its the battery aswell..I do not know any of the voltage due to leaving my multimeter at work  but the battery is under warranty. I was just wondering if it could be an something eletrical on my bike. I am going to take the battery have it checked out today after work, really hoping thats the problem.

I am wondering if there is a neutral sensor someplace. My bike had one in the clutch lever. It failed. Also make sure that battery connections are good.
