One more nail in the coffin of society.
I heard about this on the radio. Coast To Coast AM.
I think it's for real, the technology exists already and cloned meat has been produced and consumed. That meat has been bovine, so far.
Man is incapable of self leadership. This has been foretold and has been predictable. This provides more evidence of our misuse of our God given technological talents.
Other examples include the atom bomb, C difficile colitis, and the Prius.

Apparently BiteLabs is a real company. Here's an article from Time Magazine on the subject of BiteLabs.

Perhaps this is a hoax perpetrated by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), or some vegetarian group. Some people believe eating animal flesh is repulsive, and others think animals deserve rights equal to human beings. These groups might posit, "if you wouldn't eat human flesh, why would you eat animal flesh?" Also, they might posit, "if you want to eat flesh, at least you can eat flesh grown in the laboratory, and not slaughter any animals."

Here are some revealing quotes from the CEO of BiteLabs. ;)
"We think the cultural discussion around lab-grown meats and popular culture will acclimate people to the field. We’re treating it as a cultural precursor for when our product eventually hits production.”
“Our primary goal right now is to create a public dialogue around the potential for commercially available lab-grown meat."
”We are not (yet) affiliated with PETA or any other animal rights group."

I don't even want to eat any GMO (genetically modified organism) vegetables! I like animals; many of them are very tasty. :)

I'm open to genetically modified fruits and vegetables. That's how we ended up with the banana that we know now. The original banana is more like a plantain, replete with seeds.

I like seedless watermelons, also. :) However, when they genetically modify corn to contain pesticide, et cetera, I draw the line. :ohno:

Most of what is planted is a hybrid seed. It has been happening for decades.
