Started out as a DB-07 (I think?) that I paid $400 for as a project on weekends I'm home from school. Battery was gone on it, engine ran just fine, needed a new back tire (still does). Painted it black because I had watched The Place Beyond The Pines too many times.

Pulled the airbox, moved the battery to sit in the frame a little more, put a Uni air filter on, rejetted the carb, switched out the front wheel for a 17" (but the hub has a three-bolt fitment for the rotor? Need to find one that fits). Found that massive toaster tank (don't know what make, need to weld up a mounting bracket for it), painted the center flat black, flipped bars from an old XS750 (cutting them them down by 2" on each side).

Solo race-style seatpan needs to be fiberglass shaped, rear cowling made up, frame looped, need to figure out what kind of pipe I'm going to do too. Frame detabbed and painted. Would love to make something that runs under the frame, comes up and releases on the right hand side behind the peg, kind of like this (http://silodrome.com/yamaha-scorpio-225/). Battery box welded up similar to the Mouse Trap too.

Anyone have tire recommendations as well? Throttle cable also seized up and I can't seem to find one with the proper ball end (super small, cylindrical) and a center pull.

Welcome!

Cool project. Rather than flipping cruiser bars to create clubmans, you might just prefer a simple drag bar or clip-ons. That forward riding position gets uncomfortable in a couple of blocks, unless you fabricate rear sets.

Wanna sell your Roketa tank, seat and rear fender? PM me, and we'll chat.

That CG200 pushrod motor will last a long time. You can even poke it out to 223cc and beyond. You can get into the 300cc range, if you don't mind radiators.

You can get the throttle cable on eBay, but keep your search terms generic, like "dirt bike throttle cable." The other option is www.taobao.com (http://www.taobao.com). Use Google Chrome to surf the site, search for CG200 and then narrow the search field to motorcycle parts. Have fun. We can explain how to buy if you're intersted.

This pipe could be a good starting point, but it is a little spendy at $95.00 US: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.65.pbFGYX&id=22535443789

I love it, was going to suggest some clubmans or clipons also. That will work but it just puts you in a bad position. Drag bars would be pretty cool on it also!
