im looking for a adjustable rear shock to lower a tmec enduro 125 can anyone recommend one that would fit this bike

This parts catalog is available on the site of the US distributor for TMEC 200 Enduros. I doubt it will help you, but I have used it to change parts on my 200 TMEC (the 125 and 200 are identical except for engine size).

I believe you should use the search function here on chinariders to find posts of people who have changed out their rear shock, because I think they interchange with a Japanese dirt bike. Can't remember which one.

Then again, the parts diagram will let you compare the TMEC to a replacement one you might find on ebay or online stores' sites.

I recall some members installing a Yamaha R6 rear shock, but I'm not sure what the model of China bike was.

My guess is most of the GY-series bikes use the same shock--yes, it was the R6. Compare a photo of the R6 (page 37) to the TMEC.
