Based upon the suggestion of one of our new forum members (RTKing), I have decided to create this poll. The Zongshen RX3 being imported by CSC Motorcycles is available in four colors.

1) Orange

2) Blue

http://motoroids.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Minsk-TRX-300i12.png

3) Red

4) White

What color do you prefer? If you ordered a bike, what color did you order? If you really can't make up your mind, you are allowed to choose several colors. ;) After you vote, you can view the poll results. If you click on the number of votes for any color, you can see who voted for that particular color. :)

After you vote, please feel free to comment why you selected a particular color. :)

I already own a Zongshen ZS200GY-2, and it is orange. :) I think the RX3 looks great in all these colors. However, I already own two red motorcycles (Hondas), and I like the visibility of bright motorcycles, so I decided to stick with 'Zongshen Orange.'

Blue because it was easier to convince the wife that I wouldn't get up to hooliganism like I would on the scientifically faster orange one :lmao:

Conventional wisdom on other sites such as ADV, always make the point the orange bikes are the fastest, coolest, and of course the most cachet on the road. It was a no brainer, ORANGE!!!!

I have to admit that I almost ordered blue. It is just stunning in person. But just about everything I have had lately (car, motorcycle, scooter) has been blue, so I decided to mix it up a little and go orange. Besides, Orange is a higher visibility color and, as already stated, is faster. ;)

fast or not so fast: after my orange/black zong GY-2, i also had my car painted orange, got an orange leather jacket, and work out on an orange bmx bike. like me, you also won t be looking back. 150% guaranteed, by me, zingshoen. ;)

I like the the Red color, but I think all Zongs should be Orange. So I voted for both.

The red and blue versions are really sharp, I'd never buy white and I love the Zong orange. I voted orange, naturally.

Egads! Orange is crushing the competition. :wtf: We could call it Orange Crush.

I agree with Allen. I seemed to have reached the conclusion that Zongs should be orange. ;)

Also, orange is just dead sexy. :)

To my eyes the orange looks more like a yellow. Maybe it's just the way the photos were taken.

I went with white. Partially because I think people notice white bikes more since they assume its a police bike. The other reason is because I wanted a neutral color and they didn't have silver or black.

The blue bike is really stunning though, even my wife liked that one!

Everyone says all the bikes look better in person than even the photographs reveal. :) I agree, a white bike is very visible, and will get more respect from other motorists, since it looks like a police bike. A white helmet is also effective in this regard. ;)

The bikes do look great in every color. The Zongshen designers did a great job with how it looks. I imagine all of us new owners will be fielding a lot of questions about them wherever we go.

Almost everyone who sees my orange Zongshen 200GY-2 thinks it is a KTM. ;) Now, I'm sure they will think my orange RX3 is either a KTM, or an orange BMW. :)

RedSpruce
09-29-2014, 09:18 PM
Lol, I can see the KTM similarities in your current moto photos. I think the RX3 will probably be mistaken more often for a new BMW. That should be a strong selling point for them, all of the BMW style but at a much lower price!

SpudRider

Yes, some people believe the Zongshen RX3 was patterned after the BMW F800GS, and here is a photograph of that orange BMW. ;)

Please take note of the nice, aggressive tires on the 800cc BMW. ;)

RedSpruce

Well, if it wasn't directly patterned after the BMW then it certainly had a lot of influence in the design. :)

Yes, nice looking tires. The BMW has a 21" front and a 17" rear wheel. I wonder if you can fit a 21" on the front of the RX3.

Base price for a 2015 F800GS starts at $12,190 (including ABS)!

The BMW F800S has a curb weight of 505 pounds, without any luggage, engine guards, et cetera. I would much rather ride the Zongshen RX3 off road. :) Also, the RX3 is almost infinitely more economical to purchase, operate, and repair than the BMW. ;)

I converted my ZS200GY-2 from a 15-inch rear wheel, to an 18-inch rear wheel. I also converted that bike from an 18-inch front wheel, to a 21-inch front wheel. I don't doubt there is sufficient room to put a 21-inch front wheel on the RX3. ;)

However, you need to put either a 17-inch, or 18-inch rear wheel on the bike before you can put a 21-inch wheel on the front. Also, the larger wheels will increase the ground clearance, and saddle height, by approximately 1.5 inches. ;)

Until we get the RX3 in our possession, we won't have the information we need in order to plan wheel conversions. ;) However, I think I am going to start a new thread on this subject. I have been doing some research on the matter, and I would like to get some input regarding my ideas. :)

You could probably space the front fender up enough. If not, you could just lose it.

I chose the blue. I have a red Honda CT70, and an Orange BMW F800GT. I don't have a blue bike.

I thought the Orange was originally Yellow when I first saw pictures of the RX3. I would have went for yellow. :)

I can attest to the blue being "fetching." It's really gorgeous in person, and the metallic paint really pops. Below is a photo I took with my phone, but even then, the blue really stands out. Blue is my second choice in color behind orangeā€¦ and only because I've bought a blue everything for the last few years (other bikes, cars, etc.)

I can't say for sure, but the red looks like it would be metallic also. I saw the small photos on the CSC website and one looks like a bright red, but the tank photo looks more like a metallic/ruby red. Can't wait to see the red color in person. If it shines like the blue, it will really "pop" visually.

It's fair to say that each of the available colours look really good, even by laptop monitor standards. Such a far cry from the typical China motorcycle colours that we're used to.

Like any good paint job, these bikes have vibrant colors which appear to change hue under different lighting conditions. The orange looks either yellow, or orange, depending on the light level and angle of illumination. Likewise, the red probably appears either burgundy, or blood red, as reported by forum member SaharaStorms. :)

http://www.chinariders.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=1462&stc=1&d=1407936079

It's a blood red color. I like it since bright hot rod red or sports car red draws to much attention. The bike certainly gets enough attention though and its road presence is VERY nice.

Zongshen has definitely improved the paint standards for the Chinese motocycle industry. In addition, it seems the quality of the plastic parts has improved. I see this on my ZS200GY-2, where the upper side covers are brittle ABS, while the lower side covers are very nice polypropylene. ;) The plastic on the RX3 is reported to be nice and supple. The only exception might be the lower fork guards, which won't take much punishment, and are readily available for a modest price at Taobao.
