Hello all,
I have just purchased 2 Tao Tao Little Hummer 110cc Quads for my boys. They are due to ship out Monday. Any tips or tricks I should know about. I have been looking around and see lots of " get loctite " and "change the oil right away". What color loctite would you recommend? Should I use regular oil or a synthetic?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Richard

Welcome. Pick up some 15w40 diesel oil. Shell, Delo works good. Plan on having to do some work. The better you prep them the better they will be.

Make sure all the bolts are tight, especially the engine mount bolts. As with Kato, I recommend regular, 15W/40 motor oil. Chevron, Rotella, and Mobil are all good. :)

Welcome!

Blue Loctite, #242.

I agree with using conventional 15W40 diesel oil.

check the chain tensioner on those after riding a bit they may come loose and cause the chain to slip off.

Welcome to here! Watch youtube videos about your bikes or ones close to your bikes. Most of the videos about Chinese bikes/quads nowadays, as compared to the old days of "don't buy a Chinese quad!" seem to get into the good, bad, and ugly, as well as maintenance. I have seen several Tao Tao videos like this.

Thanks for the reply's, I am sure I will be using this form a lot in the future.
One more question, is regular unleaded gas the best to use?

I have always used premium in my enduro.

Regular is fine. Super tends to be a bit harder to start, due to these being lower compression engines.

I have been using regular octane fuel in my Zongshen ZS200GY-2 for almost 68,000 miles, with no problems whatsoever. :)
