Ive just ordered the engine guard for the UK version of the RX3. By engine guard I mean the protective metal sheet that bolt underneath, not the crash bars.
However while the bolt holes on the guard line up with the holes in the frame there seems to be a piece of metal, almost a stub, about 2inches long protruding from the frame, which makes fitting the engine guard impossible.
Is this stub on US bikes as well? Am I doing something wrong or is the UK version not designed to fit the guard? Thanks

As Dan requested, please do post a photo of the offending stub. ;) The U.S. bikes do have a mounting stub which is about 25 mm (1-inch) long. The front of the stock skid plate mounts to this stub.

See this tutorial from CSC. You have to cut off the 3 old mounting tabs from the bike frame to mount the new skid plate, rj

Qwert is in the United Kingdom, so he might have a different, aftermarket skid plate. Please send us a link for your aftermarket skid plate, Qwert.
