Decided that I needed to get off my backside this morning and do something. So, Fat Ass Wally got dusted off and we went for an hours ride in the 27F weather.:)

Things I noted in that hour.

It takes a heck of a long time to bring 26" x 4" tires to 12 psi with a hand pump.

I was over dressed and drenched in sweat by the time I got back home.

FAW prefers hard packed snow to pavement. Soft snow, though, is way too much work.:)

The pic with FAW laying down is on a small spit going out into a causeway along the Fox River. I walked the spit to a fallen log that was just jumping distance from the bridge where I took the pic of the frozen falls.:wtf: Yet, the ice was too slick for me to walk to the bridge.

At 60 years of age, I apparently still do not know any better.:p

hehe, i am almost 64 and i took my new Hawk out into the snow and ice today too:) I was surprised at how much traction i was able to get out of those chinese full knobbies, (but i was damned careful). Fun Though

maybe its a sign of "maturity" LOL
