Has anyone replaced the dirtbike fender on their enduro with a street bike fender that sits down on the tire? It looks like the forks have mounts for a fender like this and i like the way that looks, motard style.

Not yet but I'm with you on the mod. My stock fender got blown around a lot by the wind. Since I broke it in half it's much smaller now. But you are right about the mounts. I'm sure there is a perfect street fender we both could use.

Yeah, i keep looking at the bike and thinking i really like the clean look without the dirtbike fender, so a motard style fender would be perfect.

hmmm....i wonder if the local motorcycle junkyard has been getting any china bikes in, i'll have to call them tomorrow.

Try a fender from a small honda. Or just about any small jap bike. You can probably just drill hole in the mounts of the fender to make it fit.

The only problem I see is that most of them are designed for about a 18-19" front wheel.

The kawasaki super sherpa has a low mount fender and also the yamaha tw200.

hmmm... a little poking around on eBay finds this. It looks like it may be the perfect foundation for the street fender mod.

and its for a Harley, how ironic is that?

IIRC, the Honda Shadow VLX 600 also has a 21" front wheel...

What's funny is the traditional mounting points for a front street fender (near the tire) are there on my DB-07B, but not on the inverted folks of the DB-07A. You might be in luck if you have this same style traditional fork.

That is very much what I'm looking for, except the price. Besides that the wife doesn't like internet purchasing. Hope I can get a simular unit at a motorcycle salvage yard around here. I hope cheaper and no delevery charge. I haven't seriously searched yet, too busy riding, I have a short season.

That looks to be perfect. Forgot that harleys used a 21" wheel.
