I did a quick search and didn't find anything, so I decided to make a quick post.

I am doing the first scheduled service on my TT250, which includes the first valve adjustment. The manual and tutorial both call for a 0.07mm feeler gauge for setting the tappet clearance.

I searched all over and could not find 0.07mm feeler gauge. I phoned CSC and spoke to Jerry. He told me that either a .003" or 0.076mm feeler gauge would be just fine.

Cheers,

Dan K.

Dan,
The specs in the owner's manual show .04mm to .07mm. I just did my valves yesterday. Second time, go a little over 1500 miles on the TT at the moment.

Don't have a .07mm either. I've set them to a tight .08mm - loose .06mm. My first valve adjustment, they were really tight. This time at .04mm exhaust and .05mm intake. Slappy valves = Happy valves. So I set them to the high side of spec.

Your turning and burning those "kilomiles". Good to see your getting your use out of it!

I've always set all of my Hondoids at:

.05 MM intake
.07MM exhaust.

I did the same to Mrs 2LZ TT when I did the tear-down. Runs great.
