For the first time I took my Blaze onto the main hi way. I opened it up to WOT for a few seconds and I could not get it past 7000 rpm or 55 mph? (gps) At close to 7000 rpm or WOT the engine would start to sputter. If I let off WOT a very small amount it would smooth out. I have 350 miles on the bike. Iam at over 8500 feet and the bike runs fine at all other rpm's. This carb has no air gas mixture screw. Should I adjust the clip on the needle? Iam thinking of getting a new carb with a air gas screw and a new muffler?
For me other then riding the bike this is the fun part.

If its like the Hawk you will need to change the main jet out to a larger jet. It's running to lean. My hawk was the same way. It had a 98 and I put a 110 jet. Made a huge difference in top end.

I suspect you'll find a pilot mixture screw on the underside of the carb, right where it meets the intake tube. If you feel the bowl, you'll note that there is a relief that accommodates the screw. It is a bear to get at.

That said, it isn't likely to resolve your issue. As Jerry pointed out, you need a bigger main jet. When it comes to swapping jets, I prefer to also swap to a Mikuni, since finding jets is much easier and cheaper. A new Mikuni can be had for less than $40 shipped.

To respond to your other question, moving the clip will affect mid-range, not WOT.

The Mikuni jets will fit the stock Hawk carburetor. I got them from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017SJO94S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I wonder if it will fit my carb? Do you know what carb the Hawk has?

I'm not sure which engine is in the Blaze. If it is the push rod one, it is like the Hawk. What you describe sounds like the main jet is too lean. By the way, congrats on fixing all the problems you had with your bike.

The engine in the Blaze is a push rod counter balance one.
I havent fixed them all. Iam running on my old rear steel wheel with the hub fixed with washers. I got a new set of aluminum wheels from Taobao but the rear wheel cant be used as one nipple will not tighten. Iam waiting on new nipples and spokes from china. Other wise Ive fixed nothing. Never got even one part from the dealer I bought the bike from (superiorpowersports.com). The wheels are the only part I could find. I think Ill just have to make due with what Ive got and do my best to make it a good bike. Ill keep looking for the parts but for now its time for a new carb and muffler. I already have a new longer shift lever.

# system is different http://www.jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_mikuni_vs_dynojet_vs_keihin_sizes.htm
Different thread pitch: Keihin .8mm vs Mikuni .75mm
NEVER try fit any Keihin jet on Mikuni. The carb will destroyed in no time.

Are these 40 dollar Mikuni VM26's Knockoffs from China? Because from my search a genuine Mikuni VM26 is about 90 bucks.

Never redid the frame welds. Iam getting some practice welding with my tig before I try it. I bought a new set of aluminum wheels. There seems to be a stripped nipple on the new rear wheel. It keeps turning but never gets tight. They are sending me 10 new spokes and 10 new nipples. I bought a new set of 4mm spokes from the same people hoping they will fix my old wheel. The hub for the old wheel was made for 4mm spokes but Bashan used 3.5mm spokes. The new wheel has the same hub but with 4mm spokes and they are not pulling through.
Thank you for asking.

Even the stock Mikuni main jet is richer than what came on the bike. I think you will notice an improvement right away.

Just bought a Mikuni vm26 and a jet set. This is the muffler Iam looking to buy:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALUMINUM-EXHAUST-MUFFLER-SPARK-ARRESTOR-FOR-HONDA-CRF150F-CRF-230F-03-16-BLACK/221555811730?_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%2 6asc%3D39827%26meid%3Db0b43131add9451b9eaf11f126ed 5e39%26pid%3D100623%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D3215 30699660

Is this the right muffler for a Bashan Blaze 229cc pushrod engine?

That is the same exhaust that many of us have on our Hawk 250 and TT 250's. If you bought the Wings jets they only work with the stock PZ30 carb. I think that was what Motocheez was using.

Mikuni N100.604 main jet. That what I bought to fit the ebay carb. I bought my carb for about $34 but with so many people buy them the price will go up.

You're welcome. I've probably installed a dozen 30mm Mikuni carbs, and the results have always been excellent after proper jetting.
