Since I got manual choke and is gonna mount an alarm with remotestart I wonder if there's any replacementcarb with electric choke? Would be nice to have the bike warm when going out for a ride (riding all winter here).

Never seen an electric or automatic choke on a bike before.

Jonathan.

I have that on my scooter but don't know if there are any that fits on these bikes though.. What size is the carb on these bikes, 28mm?

If I know the size I can modify them to fit if I find one for a big scooter. Would be nice.

Most are either 26mm or 30mm depending on "brand"

Ok, now I have seen them (with electric chokes) on ATVs (4-wheelers) and bigger scooters, what I wonder if I need to do any other mod than just change the carb? Probably so but what?

Some of the Canadian Lifans came stock with alarm and remote start.

PM member Jim and ask him.

culcune!

Now I've took my carb apart for cleaning and found out it's 30mm, can you tell what brand the bike is or did you mean the brand of the carb?

Been sending mails to chinese distributeurs to find out but no answer yet.

Gasoline

Culcune meant The Brand of Bike depends on the size of the carburetor.

Currently the Only vehicles made with electric chokes are Scooters and some atvs. The carburetors from the 150cc atvs & scooters will not fit anything but the {GY-6 Styled automatic engines}. The GY-6 engine is a Horizontal styled engine and has a smaller neck that goes into the intake manifold. This being said, the GY-6 150cc carburetor is a 26mm CV style carburetor. There are larger atvs & scooters that use that use carburetors with the electric choke... But they are all CV style carburetors and will not fit on a 200cc bike, they are too wide and too short.

Even if you could put one on you will have to have a throttle cable Made {they aren't the same} and putting on a new air filtration system or modifying your current one, completely re-jetting the carburetor for your engine and any modifications that are made.

Ah, yeah.. that confirms my thoughts, thanks for clearing that up.

However, I'm curious on what brand of bike I have since I still haven't got the papers from the previous owner since he already sent them in to the authorities when I bought it and well.. it's a mess.. been mailing them, phoning them and it seems I can only hope to finally get some papers on my bike.

However, the engine is marked 169FML if that helps to find out what brand, or more important, what parts will fit onto it so if anyone knows, please fill in the name of the brand I can use.

Hmm, the alarm on my bike sits under the seat, and has a whole bunch of wires, I wonder if the lifans in the USA are wired up to plug these in (would make sense in an assembly line to have a standard wiring harness)... I could check with coast to coast about getting a spare alarm as parts, I'm not sure what they've got though.

It has remote start, kill, panic, and the alarm. My choke is just a normal choke though...

The bike won't start if it's in gear, but if it says it's in neutral but a gear is just catching it will start and take off. The first time I dropped my bike I was 20 feet away  .

163FML is a lifan motor, I'm not sure if other companies use that designation ?

Thanks Jim!

See if I'm gonna make some weird approach to the choke-problem... or just leave it on when I get off the bike :). Ok, now I know that Lifan parts should fit anyway and that was really good to know so thanks again.

Regards

Well hehe.. all seems like mine exept the oil.. don't you think they mean the gastank?

Anyways, thanks for the info. Just finished putting the carb on, raised the needle to its max (was in middle and didn't get enough gasoline). Put it all together but didn't take it out for a starter.. it's a bloody stairway to my temp workshop, though it's only 4 steps... hmm... I hear the sound of laziness...

In a couple of hours it'll be out for a testrun though. But I have to change tires.. there are pure crosstires but I need dubbed? ones. Hate changing tires...

No they can't mean fuel capacity, because it says 10w30, must be a typo... Good luck with the test run :)

Gasoline

Yeah, you're right.. would be hard to make it run on motoroil only hehe

Thanks, will return with report later

Gasoline...
Where did you buy your bike?
Was it Private... B&M Dealer... On_Line Seller?
Can you send pictures?
What do you mean The Authorities have your paperwork?
Is the bike a Street Bike or Dual Sport/Enduro?
A picture of the bike would help in us/me letting you know what you have. The engine number does us/me no good except for who manufactured the engine... maybe. A frame VIN might help but there are so many manufacturers out there it may not.

Hi ejcycles!

I bought it private from a young boy which wasn't allowed to ride it and he, himself had bought it from the first owner. This happened in a couple of weeks. The first owner gets an original "ec certificate of conformity" or something like that and has to send that in to the authorities, then they handle the case and sends back copies of the original. The problem is that the papers was sent in this summer and we haven't got the copies yet. I know from my experience with my moped/scooter that it took me two months before I got the paper and I though that was ridiculous.

I believe I have some picture/s on the site somewhere but maybe I can take some new ones while I take it out for a testspin today (just cleaned the carb).

It's an enduro and looks very much alike the other XX200GY.

What is a frame VIN?

Hi Gasoline

I understand... That and just reading through some of your other posts your in another country. Ok things make more sense now, it's tough to keep up with where everyone is from.

VIN= Vehicle Identification Number, here in the USA.
It should be on the steering neck of the motorcycle.

Ah, I'll take that as a reminder to type in where I'm from :) Thanks amigo.

I see many of you have done that, I just missed to fill that out, will do.
