Hi, when I took my Hawk out if it's shipping create there was a aluminum bushing on the front axle/bolt. There doesn't seem to be room for it? It looks like it should go on the brake side as it seems to fit in the hub seal but looks like the rotor is out of alignment. On the speedo meter side it there it's any room. Can tell me if it's needed and if so what side?
Thanks in advance!

Agreed. That large bushing goes on the brake side. If you're doing it alone, it can be tricky. The first time I did it, I thought it was a royal pain. After a time or two, it got much easier. I can assure you that it goes on the brake side and that it does fit, just might take a little effort. Are you doing it alone? Put a jack under the wheel to prop it up, and turn the girls to make more room. PM me if you'd like more help.

You can use a long narrower size bolt and thread it thru the brake side first. It keeps all components in the general correct position. Then withe the axel bolt begin to thread the fork, speedo gear, wheel ,bushing (while lining up the brake disk in the shoes) then finally the brake side fork . You can grease the axel and use a small hammer to help tap that axel thru too.

It may have been maxipad (is that his handle?) that used an aluminum A frame ladder as a hoist point to winch the bike up which I though was a simple good idea if you don't have a stand lift.
