if the rps magician is a clone of the Yamaha xg250 tricker then does that mean that xg250 parts are compatible with the magician 250 and if so which parts can i use for my magician 250 and are there any other motorcycles i can use for parts :thanks:

They are "based on" rather than "carbon copy", some parts might work, some won't.

This is a super broad question that, as it stands, requires a lot of effort from us and very little from you so you might not get many serious answers.

Are you looking to replace parts? Which parts?

This x2. There is no real one bike crossover on most of these, and many other parts were used on multiple models.

right now I'm just looking for parts that tend to break or tear more then others such as tire rims, a seat, turning lights, starting motor and from what i hear maybe even a fuel tank

Rims (http://www.buchananspokes.com/categories/index.asp)- Doesn't necessarily have to be these guys, but typically you can salvage the hub, buy whatever rim you need (check number of spoke holes)
Seat (http://www.sailrite.com/How-to-Recover-a-Motorcycle-Seat-Using-Stretch-Vinyl-Fabric) - or just use duct tape
Turn Signals (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=turn+signals+LED+motorcycle&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xturn+ signals+motorcycle.TRS0&_nkw=turn+signals+motorcycle&_sacat=0) - if you go the LED route, you'll need to change out your flasher unit (https://www.amazon.com/AUDEW-Electronic-Signal-Flasher-Motorcycle/dp/B011BTMDQM/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1495821196&sr=8-1&keywords=turn+signal+flasher+led+motorcycle&linkCode=sl1&tag=moto044b-20&linkId=809ae5327f569117fd1dcda910920413) too
Starter Motor - unsure, you'll probably have to buy it from RPS, get it re-wound or maybe someone here knows of one that bolts up
Fuel Tank - Just get it lined if it starts leaking at the seams (not out of petcock), any radiator shop you walk into will be able to do this and it'll cost you under $100, if you're feeling brave (really, just get them to do it) then you can go buy your own can of Red Kote (https://www.amazon.com/Red-Kote-Quart-Sealer-Diesel/dp/B009X0JOSM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1500495314&sr=8-1&keywords=red+kote) and try

Anyway, for a lot more mods for the Magician that are organized fairly well, check out Motocheez's website (https://sites.google.com/site/motocheez/rps-magician-250).

Starter is kind of universal for most cg clones. You can find them for 20 bucks easily. Search cg250 starter.
