I was just cruising the CSC website and noticed on the RX3 tire specs 100/100R-18 and 130/70R-17. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the R designate a radial tire? :hmm:

R is for Round tire.

so in that case the "S" must be for a square tyre
PS.... Is there a "T" for triangle ones ?
And for all these years I thought the "R" was for ratio as in the aspect ratio %....
Just goes to show you are never to old to learn something new...
hell I was really over thinking this tyre thing....

I just emailed CSC and they confirmed the tires are bias ply, not radials. I got confused because the specs showed radials but the replacement tire page showed bias ply.
Thanks for the laugh Adjuster. Just one of many of my "Here's your sign" moments.

..The first number is the tire width. The second number is the aspect ratio (as a percentage of the width). The R stands for radial construction.
