Installed a Mikuni carb last night with a 110 main jet and now I can't get the bike to run tried fuel on/off choke in all positions and checked that the carb was getting fuel...any ideas?

This is not meant to be an insult as many here have done this, including myself, but did you make sure your kill switch was on the on position?

I've tried starting it so many times now the battery is dying I might try putting the old carb back on and if it starts up again maybe trying to MIkuni using the 100 jet ..not sure if that would make any difference for the start up

Then check the Mikuni clone with the float bowl off to makes sure the needle and seat are working ok, and that the float is in parralel with the body when you turn it upside down. Next, I would take out the pilot jet and the main jet and make sure they are clear, then blow or squirt carb cleaner through the fuel passages in the carb....ARH

Thanks a lot!! The only other thing I should probably mention is when I was installing the mikuni I dropped the top part when installing the spring and whatever was holding the needle in popped out..I used the clamp deal out of the original carb to get it together..could this cause a no start??

When you KNOW that you have spark, and can't even get a popcorn fart out of it, you can bet it is a fuel problem....ARH

Well this just in...it's not getting spark which I thought I would be too much of a coincidence after just installing a new carb (started up before hand) I can't get a crop dust out of it..any suggestions? On the bottom of the coil there's a male end connector but there's no female plug to put to it...

Perfect opportunity to pull off the float bowl, and see if gas is coming through the fuel petcock, down the fuel line, and out of the needle valve onto your hand. Then push up gently on the float to make sure the gas shuts off. While you are doing this, your sub-conscious is remembering how you pulled that wire off of the coil. At least, that's how my brain works!!...ARH

If only it were that simple haha I'm not sure there actually was a wire on it because I don't see anything dangling nearby I just don't think it's logical there is a male plug with no female nearby..

If there was no wire on that male terminal, it would have had a cap on it...ARH
