So less than a year ago I replaced the 3 rear wheel bearings & seals in my
bike with Chinese made ones..
it's been a wet winter here so most of the rides have been canceled
have only done around 6 rides..( 6!!.. dam will need to learn how to ride again)
Had the bike up on the stand going over it & noticed the rear wheel was wobbling
and not just a little bit... so pulled the wheel out & the single bearing
on the brake side all but fell apart...
Ok my bike takes a hammering but 6 rides is just silly when the last set lasted
god knows .. maybe 4 years...

The wheel bearings could be something ealse to look at replaceing
when you get your bike...

i will be buying a set of FAG bearing tomorrow...

Six rides? It sounds like they didn't even have any grease in them.

I don't have as much experience with FAG bearings, but I don't doubt their quality. I have always had great luck with Nachi bearings (Japanese) or the very elusive and somewhat expensive German made SKF bearings. I used to love Timken bearings until they basically closed down bearing manufacturing in the U.S. after being bought out and restructuring. Now most Timken bearings are made overseas, but thankfully some of them are at least done in S, Korea and Taiwan, so quality wise they are still decent.

In any case, it's just another example of getting what you pay for. I will gladly spend $15 a pop on Nachi triple seal motor grade bearings vs. $4 "insert brand name here" bearings.
