So i noticed that my gas gauge just randomly stopped working on my HAWK. I disconnected all the visible wires leading to the speedo and the tank and reconnected them, but got nothing. I also checked if the float was okay and its floating and seems fine.

I was wondering if there is anything under the tank that I should check (I dont want to take the tank off and find there isnt anything there to mess with) or do you think its my speedo assembly that is busted? recently my speedo cable came off while riding and got mangled up so i removed the cable. But I wouldnt think that had anything to do with the gas gauge.

So i cant tell my speed or how much gas I have  Neutral and Blinker lights works though!

Just looking for some insight. Im not very good with electrical stuff.

BTW i have the STOCK Speedometer assembly.

Also i never solved my starter issue |

thing still doesnt work and ive replaced the solenoid and battery. Its like all the electrical sh*t on my HAWK is going bad.. :ohno:

Also does anyone know if the hawk NEEDS a battery to be started? or could you disconnected the battery, turn the key and kick start it? Just wondering.

Something to check is to make sure the tank isn't grounding down to the frame. There should be a rubber pad between the tank and frame were the bolt goes. Also check that bolt didn't wear through the rubber and is making contact with the metal on tank. My gauge worked off and on for a few months until I realized that the rubber pad was installed wrong from the factory. It was installed on top the tank instead of in between the tank and frame.

You also want to check if the sending unit of the float is actually working. Just because the float floats doesnt mean the sending unit works. A couple of other members ran into their own issues with said float and sending unit and ordered one from CSC for a TT250, anf it works perfectly.
