What has everyone found to be the best overall Ruckus Clone?

Our model is Talon (https://peacesports.com/Scooters-Peace-Sports-TPGS824-Ruckus-Clone-2017-Norcross-GA-87920aa6-f515-40ab-871f-a7d0015c1497) or the "824"

Surely they are all similar. Ours have the rounded rear tire to help in cornering but I'd think all the other manufacturers would make this change in 2018 if not already. I've had some dealers tell me one difference is the quality of the electronics, others have said paint quality varies per manufacturer.

We have both a 50cc and 150cc Model. Main difference between them is that the 150cc has a slightly wider rear tire, a longer seat to accommodate a passenger, passenger foot pegs, and rear disc brakes. Due to the bigger engine/more power, and the potential of more weight with an option for a passenger, it also has an extra motor mount to steady the engine.

Quite a few years back, there was a 250 Ruckus clone. Any idea if those will be coming back? Anything that can't hold 55mph gets mowed down here. We have several scooter deaths a month around here because of impatient drivers.

I have not heard talk of a 250 Ruckus anytime soon. I currently have a 300cc fuel injected scooter but its a good bit more $$.

If you need to make a little extra power, I'd get a 150cc and have a big bore kit installed to get over the 60mph mark. I believe 180cc is the most common.

Upstate Cycle can do it for you. I see the owner, Gerald, a couple times a month.

The only Ruckus clones that come to mind is the Mad Dog. I haven't seen one over 150cc. The old SSR Rowdy's looked like a 250, but still had a 150cc mill.
-The Honda 250cc Ruckus wasn't very fast, so a clone would be even slower.
Scrappy Dog sells a 200cc GY6 crate motor. I have heard no feedback on the performance or reliability of the 200cc.
-If you want a fast Ruckus clone, you will need to build it.

Thanks. I know of his shop. I'll have to try and chat him up when I get more bike bucks saved up. I didn't know he dealt in China bikes.

I ran with a slightly mofidiedHonda Ruckus here in the mountains. He had no problems keeping up with me on my GS500. He had the same mods most make here to the carb and exhaust with a little work to the CVT and variator. No engine work though.

He mainly only gets 50cc scooters from me. But I know he offers other brands of Chinese powersports as well. He'd be your guy to get our stuff from if you have interest.

Ive never owned one but the one I like is the ice bear maddog, they used to have a wide non rounded tire but the gen IV has a skinnier tire and one sided swing atm which I think looks pretty cool

Yes if the shock design is able to correctly hold weight, the single sided swing does look great, like the Honda VFR 800 motorcycle.

Our Talon is still dual rear shock for the time being.

Does Peace deal in any variation of the Chinese Grom clones? Let us know ,there is a pretty large and active Grom clone group here that frequent the "Street" section. Your top photo appears to show some Grom'ish sized bikes but no idea if they are 125cc, smaller or larger and they don't have plastics i recognise right off the bat, seem to be more of a roadrace /sport bike type deal.

Not yet. We have a 50cc racer style scooter in the works for the spring that'll be closest to a grom clone. It'll only be a 50cc though.
