Hi there everyone. Been lurking for several weeks - there's a great wealth of information on this site! I ran into an issue that's stumped me a bit and couldn't find any posts regarding this issue.

I've got an Apollo 250cc. I took it out for its maiden voyage today - about a 20 minute joyride sticking mainly to 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. I've not get much experience with dirt bikes, so admittedly I stalled it 3-4 times. About 10 minutes into the run, I shut the bike off and did an inspection as I heard that bolts can come a little loose regardless of whether you've tightened them. When I tried to start the bike again using the electric start feature, nothing happened. I tried several more times with the bike in neutral, 1st, etc. The bike simply didn't turnover. It's the stock battery.

I have a couple of questions. I didn't see any sort of alternator on this bike. Does it not have a mechanism to recharge the battery? Also, the battery is behind a couple of plastic panels. Do I really have to remove the panels after each ride to charge the battery? It seems the bike would have been designed as to not require disassembly (even minor) to recharge a battery. I feel like I'm missing something. Any help would be much appreciated!

The stator, aka alternator, is located under the left side engine cover. The wires frim the stator go to a regulator and rectifier to make DC current, this charging the battery.

As far as taking the covers off, yes. Unless you inatall an SAE charging harness to use with a battery charger that accepts said SAE plug - Battery Tender brand being the most well known. Most of their chargers usually come with said harness included.

Mine did this to me after my 3rd or 4th time out. I just loosened and re-tightened the positive and negative terminals at the battery. No more issues.

Hi ive been looking around here trying to find some help finding a replacement stator for the 2017 Apollo RX 250. When i first went to look online for it, i thought it would take maybe a couple days max to find it. It has been 4 months. Just cant seem to find the exact one. Its an 8 coil pack with only 4 wires on it. Can anyone give me any suggestions? Would greatly appreciate the help.

I can't speak about the Apollo directly but the battery is usually a prime candidate when a company in China is trying to cut costs to make a.cheap bike. Many of us on here have had to replace they're battery soon after getting the bike. But I would expect It to last more than 20 min.
