Has anyone cut the seat down on their Hawk? I really need to gain an inch.
I am just too short. lol.

How about a shorter rear shock. anyone know one that fits.

Thanks

Fits the Hawk perfectly, and 2 inches lower. Yeah, it's not as cheap as cutting down the Hawk seat, but it is a heck of a lot easier, and much higher quality. http://www.cscmotorcycles.com/TT250-Seat-Seat-Concepts-p/csc-300ttkt.htm

Thank You!
That will help a lot.
I will try to cut it down. It is nice to know there is an option if I mess it up.

I cut down the seat gained about 2 inches. I used a bread knife to cut the foam. That seemed to do the best job. (Please don't tell the wife!) Used a course sand paper on the sander made it nice and smooth before I put the cover back on. I should have removed more from the hump but it still works ok. I will be getting the lowered seat for the tt250 later. I don't want to invest much until i have a plate and an inspection sticker on it. Still waiting for my MSO from txpowersports.

Nicely done! I bought an electric carving knife from the local thrift store for that purpose.

I agree, nicely done on that seat.

I have the opposite desire. I want to add material to my seat. I can straddle my hawk, flat foot it, and just barely leave the seat, so leg room is not a problem for me. A lack of cushion is my problem, this foam isn't very firm for my high density lol.

I have the same requirement, Dan. I'm flat-footing it on my Lifan, and my knees are bent on my TW. I've toyed with the idea of upholstering a gel pad into the seat.
