Hello
I was wondering what people's shift speeds are on the Hellcat 125.
How fast are you going before you have to shift into 4th?

I've been lurking on this site for several months since I got my hellcat and here is what I have learned on how to operate it to its fullest advantage in traffic.
Once I get through the gears on my hellcat I'm usually at 30mph by the time I hit 4th.
With the way I have been riding recently I would get it to 39 with the choke pushed to the rear, then as soon as i push the choke forward it gives it a boost of power and brings it up to 55mph.
My hellcat is completely stock besides the mirrors.
1600 miles and no real issues, just had to tighten chain and change oil twice so far.

Welcome DudeMantia
Great to see your bike! and the report on a stock Hellcat, thats good to hear.
i'm hitting 4th at 35mph. I'm not stock and still breaking her in.
Do you know if your bike came with 16t sprocket and 25mm carb?

I have yet to take a look at my front sprocket but I am thinking its a 14t front it came with.
The stock carburetor it came with is a Pz18 or something like that. I don't even think it's made for the size of engine its on. The carb I was suggested to put on my bike is a 22mm.

Welcome aboard. Nice looking bike  If you're having to use the choke for the engine to run after it is warmed up you will need to look into tuning the carb. I sure some of the Hellcat guys can help you with that. ;)

I wonder when Tao tao switch them, mine came with a 25mm carb and a 16t and thats how they all seem to be coming stock now.
Ya thats the carb i'm using now right, with 26mm intake.
i would suggest getting this one, well i'll be switching to this one https://www.amazon.com/Mikuni-Round-Slide-Carburetor-VM22-133/dp/B003CK3IJK fuel/mix screw is on the side, not bottom. the other one is on the bottom, its a pain in the ass to get too.
:thanks:
