Pitster Pro sold the LXR250f which was a rebadged Kayo K6. I bought one and really like it. It came with lights etc. and is street legal, which the K6 doesn't have.

Pitster doesn't offer that bike anymore. I wonder if there is, or will be, another company importing them into the US? It's a really nice bike, with a Zongshen NC250 and FI, and also a very good suspension.

If you go to Pitster Pro's website and click motorcycles you are now on GPXMoto. Under their listing they have the FSE250R, which is basically the same thing...

Sure did take a price hike though.

They also now offer the 450cc bike.

I don't think they're made by Kayo. They have the NC250, but not the Kayo EFI. The new bike has a Delphi EFI. Too bad the price increased so much. The LXR250f listed for $3999 I think. Pitster sold off the remaining 2016's at the end of 2017 for a nice discount of %25 off. That got them sold and also got a lot of attention about the bike on the forums. Instead of sticking with the Kayo K6 Pitster seems to have switched manufacturers, but still uses the same engine brand and suspension components brands.
I hope Pitster does well, but wish the K6 bikes were still available.

Hmm? Maybe I was wrong. I thought they stopped selling them and switched from Pitster Pro to GPX.

At this point I would assume they are probably still selling off old stock, but who knows. They may also keep their current line for another year or so until the GPX brand gets up and running. Or the GPX might be their "high end" brand, kind of like Lexus vs. Toyota.

That would be a smart way to do it, but over on ADVrider everyone seems to think that the LXR250f has been replaced by a much pricier GPX with an NC250 engine.

The GPX line is more refined and prettier, but as the pricing goes up customers seeking value pricing will look elsewhere. There's also a price point where buying a Euro bike makes more sense.

I think all the old stock has been sold.

These importers buy in container loads to get the price discounts. They appear to be still selling Kayo ATV products, so I'd bet that they can get you an LXR if you want one, but I don't think that you will see them for $3000 ever again.

The GPX bikes are being marketed a little high, but I'm guessing that they will get discounted as time goes by. Same as the LXR250'S were, but probably never be sold as cheaply.

The tough part is that a lot of used late model Euro bikes are selling for about the same price as the new GPX. Makes the decision a little tougher...

I feel the prices in the USA for these Chinese bikes is a bit too rich, also compared to the retail in China the difference in price of models is a lot more (I do not mean they should be sold at Chinese retail of course)

I'm more upset with them calling them "250" when they are only 230 than I am at the price. As long as they stay under $2,000.00 for brand new and street legal it's ok. The only thing my 230 can't or maybe shouldn't do is jumping and long stretches at full speed. I'm going to sup it up and pretend anyway though :)

Your idea under $2000 buys you only a Hawk
Can’t even buy that bike here for $2000!
Here it’s near $2900 without fast ace suspension that’s the GPX 2T
Kayo T6 EFI and new version EFI is $2300ish no lights on then tho
The GPX here about the same for NC250 and the 450 is about the 2T price

Search online for a PitsterPro LXR250F, that is the same thing but with lights etc
