I have searched from my original question about engine manufacturer being? Im trying to find full specs of hawk 250 motor as a whole. Gear box spec ,charging all of the above. Where to look as i have hit the search about this. Any help much appreciated thanks.

Man everything seems to be vague about them, I think you best bet might be asking Ariel Red Hunter or HumanBeing, I have a Bashan engine but know very little about it, I know it runs good and is a blast but I too would like to know more.

Bashan has a couple facebook pages and a website, little to no info but lots of pics. There is also a Bashan USA headquarters but again no info.

The manufacturer is Chongqing Haosen Motorcycle Co., LTD. The specification can be found on there website. http://www.haosenmotor.com/ Not a whole lot of information out there on them but they are just as reliable as most of the rest of the China bike engines.


5 speed specifications- "Primary: 3.333; first gear: 2.909,Second gear: 1.867; third gear: 1.389,Fourth gear: 1.150; fifth gear: 0.9545 "

Ok i more thing to add to stick or tech thread is initial timing is listed at 11 degree in one place and 14 in another at 1400 rpm .

Ok i more thing to add to stick or tech thread is initial timing is listed at 11 degree in one place and 14 in another at 1400 rpm . And to really confuse things the tag on the engine has 35* BTDC. It should be around 14-15 degrees at idle and 35 degrees full advanced.

I KNOW GNAWTHINK!!!!..ARH :pEven though that's true, there is a lot of engine information on 'Hawk Talk' thread on this site. More than you probably want to know. I suggest you start at the beginning and work your way through it...ARH :zzz:

And that is because when you don't understand something, you simply go back and read it more slowly, word by word until you understand it. For example; changing valve timeing without changeing camshafts. You probably would have to read that several times in order to visualize how that can be so...ARH :doh:
