I think I am going to order the DF250RTG when I get back to SWFL next month. It has the 165FMM (?) at 223cc.

What color? You will get a lot of attention when you get to take it to the Dragon!

Good question about the color. Black is probably best for touch up, I have a red TU250X, maybe white, not.
I say black for now.
I get a lot of attention with my TU at the Dragon. Most think it is a 1970s bike!

Funny, all the photos of the DF250RTG show four mirrors!

I looked into these and found out that they are not CARB Certified. So I can't register in my state. They are good looking bikes though.

Safer Wholesale:
LIST PRICE: $3,298.95
REGULAR PRICE: $2,689.95
HALLOWEEN 8 HR. SALE: $1,998.95

seems a bit pricy. I'm a cheap china-bike owner. :)

I know states dance around the federal laws (obviously California with CARB, but apparently others), but this bike is certified 49 state street legal via the US EPA/DOT as an 'on-highway motorcycle'. It seems that every few years a few states state this as their law (basing it on California's CARB), then bikes get registered in said states, but then, as you posted, apparently the law comes to rear its ugly head! I wonder how they get away with it?!

The only real difference in the two are the tires and tank which I really don't care for on the DF250RTD. Neither worth the extra $500. Probably the only thing I would change is put a fatter tire on the rear but still looks good as is.

I am going to try and change very little on the DF250RTG that I will soon be getting. Need some luggage capacity.
Will start a new thread when I get her.
It has shipped from the warehouse in CA.

ben2go,
I will start the DF250DFG thread when the bike is in my shop in the crate. Hopefully there will be minimum mods. Maybe remove the air injection pump and block off that port.

Barnone, I think yore new bike is based on a Honda CB125S. But I could be wrong.
The engine could be a clone of the CB125S just increased to 223cc and called a 165FMM.
Hard to know what is what.

I rode/drove I 10 from Fl to TX many times, hopefully not again.

I didn't want the crate so I gave it back. lol :p Looks like that going to make a good commuter bike. 4 gallon tank is nice too. I would buy one if I didn't have the Hawk. But then again I do like some off-roading.

Yeah, that's a long boring drive. I've driven back and forth to Houston and Dallas a few times. Have a hard time staying awake.

Crate still sitting in Orlando. Not going to drive there to pick it up. Last trip to Orlando was to pick up the CB1100 I won in the Ride For Kids national project bike raffle. Damn near got wrecked many times on ! 4.
Only kept the bike for two months. Not for me.

I just bought this bike from venmonmotorsportsusa.com. It’s sold out so I’ll be getting a brand new one around October. Hopefully this winter doesn’t suck. Definitely going to have to replace the seat for a passenger. If anyone has this bike please post photos/videos. Unfortunately there is not nothing out there

The stock carb will be fine. You may need to change the main jet out to a 105 main.
