Hello, I have a 2015 Hawk 250. I have the stock fuel gauge. When I first fill it up it reads full but a s I drive it more it starts to read over full. Is the gauge bad or do I have a wire bad.

How many miles have you driven? If you're filling the tank to the brim it may take awhile for fuel gauge sensor to detect decreasing fuel in the tank. I've found that mine stays on full for awhile, then the gauge moves more quickly toward empty once I'm down to 3/4 of a tank. The Hawk gets anywhere from 50-60mpg so it does take some time to burn through a tank.

I have ran for at least 80 miles on one tank. If I hit a bump hard enough it will move the gauge but it always returns to over full. I do fill it to the brim though. Thanks for the info.

I had this problem when I fist got my Hawk. The tank needs to be isolated from the rest of the bike. Where the tank bolts to the frame there should be a rubber pad between the tank and frame. On my bike they had installed the rubber on top the tank instead of in between. Make sure the tank isn't grounding out against the frame anywhere.

Try lifting up on the tank and see if it returns to normal. That's how I figured out what the issue was.

Ok. That sounds like that could be the problem. I bought it from some people who put it together. They may done that wrong. I will check that as soon as I can. Thanks
