Okay so while I wait for my magnets to come in to complete my cluster installation, I decided to upgrade my turn signals to led, as well as add hazards. first thing I did was remove the old turn signals

I replaced them with these turn signals. There was no drilling required, just had to change the barrels on the led wires to match the ones on my bike. Easy fix. Just cut and crimp on new barrel ends.

So I did not test it with the stock relay, I just upgraded the relay to this one. It was a direct swap as well as having a feature to be able to adjust the flashing speed

The signals worked perfectly.

Next was to find a switch for the hazards. A little browsing on amazon and I found this

Mounted it on the handlebars. Perfect fit.

Now the wiring. So the switch comes with a brown and 2 black wires. I figured the brown was the common between the 2 but checked with a multimeter to verify. That is correct. So I already knew that the orange and light blue went to the turn signals (one for left and one for right) the next thing was to find which wire was the common between the 2 on the turn signal switch. With a multimeter, I verified that it was the gray wire. I did want my cluster to light up both indicators to show that the hazards were on. What I did was peel a little of the wire sleeve off of the wires that go to the turn signal switch. From there, I used some wire splices to tap into the wire. The brown wire went to the gray, which are both common wires from both switches. One of the black ones went to the orange wire and the other black wire went to the light blue wire.

So now was a test of the cluster and the lights.

I know hazards are not a priority for people, but I ride my bike on the rode a lot and the hazard lights is a nice feature to have. I was very happy that it worked as I anticipated and like the way it all came out. Hopefully anyone that wants to add hazard lights to their bike does with as much ease as I had.
