Are the Grom front forks the same size as the vaders? What options "if any" is there available to improve the shock dampening?

I believe the clone forks are slightly different from the grom ones, although it's possible they are interchangeable. You could always try a better shock fluid before swapping them entirely. I will be trying the Amsoil Shock Therapy fluid in my Hellcat shortly. https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/other-products/suspension-fluid/?zo=5178398

Yeah I know about changing the shock oil with some real stuff, I was just thinking it would be easier to change the internals rather than having to remove the forks completely. Got to do something as they suck bad imo.

You could try the Grom 15$ fork mod thing with the washers.
Let use know what you do.

Is that a kit or is it just adding a washer? I did see the video but I didn't see if it said it was a kit or not.

cbrfxr67 took his front shocks apart already. Won't be able to do the grom fork mod the exact same way.

The issue is how that rod is screwed into the cap. You could add a couple washer and still thread it in, but you don't really gain much from that. Maybe with a threaded extension? But you'd have to spend some time at Ace hardware to find something that will fit.

cbrfxr67 replaced the fork oil with thicker stuff and that helps out a lot. This is also what a lot of Grom people do as well.

The stock " fork oil" should hardly be called that , and it's quite common for the forks to be underfilled from the factory on top of that . Switching out to a quality 15w forkoil really will do wonders ,use 225ml to 250ml per side .

If you still feel like you need a bit more stiffness, I used a $99 front fork preload cap set from SlingShot Racing for the Grom, they fit Vaders fine ,there is an install video available on YouTube but it's very easy ,between those preload adjusters and the better fork oil I have been fine .
