so ive been looking around at bigger dual sport bikes and they all seam to have the same opinion of going to a pumper carb as a great upgrade. so my thoughts are is the carb i already upgraded to witch is the vm 26 similar enough to the yoshimura tm 26 they use for the xr100 bikes honda makes and would it be possible to mount one on the tt250 or what other pumper carbs out there might work ? :hmm::hmm:

found this pumper carb looks to be made for gy6 engines i wonder how this carb performs. my only concern is finding jets and replacement parts seeings how its not a mikuni https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DGTD69X/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1G2AJ9O1GWX3X&psc=1

That is the correct carb. Jets should be easy to find. Just wait till you get the carb before ordering as some found on here there come with different pilot jets.

A bit over the top really.

It is still a cheap low cost PZ30? just added a accelerator pump? I would suggest a better brand/quality rather then a whole carb with just a acc pump which might even cause issues.
Remember the CG is still a very basic motor and that in mind there is only so much the form of engine it can do, thought about the 300 kit? I did see this some place in the USA but can't recall where.

I haven't tried it and actually I do have a carb new laying around some place lol.
Nibbi carb would be better from Taiwan rather then a Chinese copy thing.

Did you know you can have roller rocker? fun fact actually.

I personally think if the motor does its end in, change to a CB engine (OHC) and the best one is 249.9cc as it bolts on the frame and sprocket lines up, some tweeks might be needed to mount carb and exhaust

I've looked at the getting the roller rockers. That will be a future project. :hehe: Will it be a performance gain? not really but would cut down on friction and wear on cam and followers.

So you can upgrade the TT250 using a 300 kit or a CB250? What do these cost?

defffffffinitley send me a link to both the 300kit and the cb engine your talking about and roller rockers? thats sweet ill have to look into that... can you do the 300 kit and roller rockers ? and i do like the nibbi carb but its not a pumper carb and from what ive read the pumper carbs give alot better throttle response and low end torque  that would be nice for rougher hill climbs

The 300 kit would be interesting for more torque but these CG's aren't really made for blistering top end. Their design is for torque and extreme durability under horrible conditions. I'd like to see one really hopped up with head work, bore kit, etc....but my gut feeling is it would be something along the lines of souping up an old straight 6 farm motor.

I remember Fastdoc here dropped a CB (OHC) motor in his old XR200 frame. Worked very well!

I live in China source and sell parts (profitable stuff) and i have found that Hawk or these owners tend to only buy penny parts and I would spend hours on a couple buck but if this changes I could certainly look at offering stuff etc.

When I do my online shop I might add a few odds for these bikes and see the market reaction and see if sales versus profit is better then a buck per hour I can add in more n more for these.

Rear hub bushes seem not be be able to get in the USA roller rockers maybe a decent carb but that's getting to $150, or I see the digital dash seems to be a hot item.

I do not mean to be rude but seriously I was asked to find $5 worth of parts mostly easily available in the USA and then expected to sell it shipped for $10 and it would take a few hours to do the job - see my point?
I would like to expand parts range once I have the online shop and small money many many times is perfectly fine so I gotta try out a few things n see the reaction. the RX3 stuff and owners is another level and this leaves me a little fat etc as well as the NC motor parts/Big bore.

But yeah CG is just a real plain but durable engine but in today's modern world the ability to service and change oil is easy so that aspect of it is kinda nul and void IMO, I I feel the OHC and biggest 249.9cc would be the better HOP UP option ( 15Kw and 18Nm torque)

The internet is full of parts and cheap parts but how many if any have some knowledge and can guide you or offer the right solution? That is where I aim to be one of a few. If I do not know for sure or haven't tested it I am reluctant to sell and find out failure

if you found me a big bore kit of 250-300cc size for the csc tt250 id be willing to pay 300-500$ for such a kit but if going to the ohc 249.9cc is a smarter option does the rx3 engine drop right in or what kind of modifications would i need to perform to get it to work in the tt250

Not RX3 engine that’s water cooled
A new version of CB is 249cc

i kinda like the idea of liquid cooled over air cooled but what do you got for me a 800$ -1200$ investment into a cb 249cc ? it also has to be worth it enough for me not to just go and upgrade 4000$ to a drz 400sm sell my bike for 1500$ and go that route.

You’re always better if buying a bike closer to your liking rather then redesigning a cheap Chinese bike

I agree with the comment on buying a better bike.

As far as the cheap PZ30 pumper carb. Do it. You won't get any real power from it as the carb is more or less the same as the stock unit you have. What you gain is greatly improved throttle response, which you notice when taking off and shifting up. The accelerator pumps whole purpose is to introduce fuel to the incoming air when the throttle is first opened to alleviate the momentary lean condition that is present in traditional draw-style carburetors. It takes a brief amount of time for the air charge to create enough draw on the jets to pull the fuel through, and the accelerator pump is there for that very reason. The bike feels much stronger when riding.
